It seems that when it rains it pours

Everything was going according to plan, with only a few bumps. When Dave let his supervisor know that he had accepted a new job in Belgium and that they wanted him there on the 18th of July, the guy had a fit. Supervisor told Dave that he "needed" him until the first of August. Okay....we can deal with that. Then Dave started having pain in his groin area last week, We were hoping that it was just a pulled muscle, but today we found out that it is an Inguinal Hernia. Which means surgery before we can move to Europe!! We have an appointment with the surgeon on Friday.
