A Month of Thanks

Cornucopia This being the month of Thanksgiving, I thought I would blog each day about something that I am thankful for. Do you think I can come up with 30 things I am thankful for? I hope I can.

Today I would like to share the most important thing I am thankful for and that is my testimony of Jesus Christ. I am so thankful for the love that my Savior has for me that he would die for me so that I may return to my Heavenly Father. I am so thankful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ that has been restored to this earth in this these latter days. I KNOW that because of the plan that our Heavenly Father had for me in the pre-existance is unique for ME. I KNOW that they love me and have faith in me to choose the right way to go in order to return to them. I KNOW that this Gospel is true and I KNOW that it was restored to this earth by a faithful young 14 year old boy who had enough faith to ask his Heavenly Father which church was true. I KNOW that because of that young boy and his faithfulness in his Savior and Heavenly Father that this Gospel is true and that all things that have been restored through our Prophets have been for our good. I KNOW that when I ask for forgiveness of my sins I can be forgiven. I know that I am not perfect and I know that if I at least strive to do what is right and live the way my Heavenly Father would want me to than one day I will be perfect. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father very much.

Today we were able to go spend the day with some new friends, the Newbolds. Steve and Dave were watching horror movies. DeAnn and I were making cards. I have never made cards before and now I have a new obsession. Never mind that I have I don't know 10 other obsessions, but now I have another one. I used stamps for the first time!! Steve and DeAnn have two children, Matthew (14) and McKenzie (9). Matthew and Aimee played video games for a little while, McKenzie and Kaitlyn played. Wendy was either watching movies with Dad and Steve or discovering card making with DeAnn and I. We had dinner with them and had nice converstations getting to know each other better. We had a great time. It isn't very often that we find friends that we ALL like. We hope to be able to do it again sometime. Maybe will be able to visit them in Preston, Idaho, after we all return to the states and do things together then too.

This was a very good idea! Wish I would have thought it. :) Loved reading your testimony. Long long time since I've heard yours. Can't wait for your other post. :)

Thank you for sharing your testimony. Anyone who reads it should feel the surety of the things you have testified of.

As for making friends with the Newbolds...that's wonderful. It is hard to make friends with a family where the kids all like each other as well. I was DeAnn's VT in Utah. That's how we got to know them. Isn't she talented with those stamps?
